Hold the Swedish Central Bank liable for crashing the world economy?

So argues Nassim Taleb.

He has a point. It hard to imagine the current crisis without the central role in the mess of Nobel Prize winning economics.

And there can’t be much argument against the claim that the Nobel Prize in Economics is often as much an embarrassment to science as the Nobel Prize in Literature is to literature .. or the Nobel Prize Peace prize is to .. well .. peace.
