The national chattering class continues to take notice that something is happening in California. As usual, most aren't all that interested in substance. Instead, most national pundits see the race to replace as a target rich environment for entertainment stories. That seems to be Howard Kurtz's angle, and certainly that is what you'd expect from such empty vessels as the NY Times' pathetic Maureen Dowd -- and that's what we got.
