PUT A FORK IN THE ANNIE JACOBSON Northwest Airlines Flight 327 story. The 14 Syrian musicians played at the Sycuan Casino & Resort, near San Diego July 1st. The story was broken by a Stanford U. radio station "news director" and his research director. A simple Google search and a phone call produced a story that all of the major magazines, newspapers and cable channels couldn't produce. It turns out the headliner for the band is the the Syrian Wayne Newton.

I'm not surprised that the NY Times, the LA Times and the Dept of Homeland Security couldn't crack this story -- but what about KFI's radio news team? Or the blogosphere? Posted by Greg Ransom | TrackBack
