BUSH'S HOMELAND SECURITY nominee quits over a "nanny problem". Former NYPD chief Bernard Kerik admits violating tax laws and hiring an illegal alien to raise the kids and do his household work.

What you are looking at here is a big reason why the country will never have secure borders -- the wealthy classes of both parties wants cheap, powerless foreign labor doing the dirty work in their homes and in their businesses. And they want it most especially because it allows them to dodge the tax, regulatory and social security burdens that legal native workers cost them. This class factor is an important reason why the U.S. Senate will not secure our borders -- and why the U.S. House folded on terror controls for foreigners illegally in the United States. And its a big reason why President Bush is pushing for completely open borders with Mexico. It's a win-win-win situation -- you get the money and votes from the upper classes, you get moral brownie points from the intellectual classes, and you get votes and loyalty for life from immigrants and illegals -- and future family members to be named later.
