Glad to be here

I just wanted to take a moment to thank Greg for setting up this group blog, and for all of his dedicated work on the Hayek-L list, which shall be missed greatly. Greg also asked that the "permanent" bloggers introduce themselves. You can find everything you wanted to know about me, and more, at my own webpage. You might also check out the homepage of the Society for the Development of Austrian Economics. I'm also a member of the Liberty & Power group blog. What I get paid to do is to teach in the Economics department at St. Lawrence University in Canton, NY, where I'm currently the Associate Dean of the First Year and the Interim Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning. I've written two books on Austrian monetary and macro theory, and numerous scholarly articles on Austrian economics, the history of economic thought, money and banking, and the political economy and social theory of our friend F. A. Hayek. My current research interests include the economics and social theory of gender and the family, topics that have, I believe, been under-explored by Hayekians and classical liberals more generally. I hope this blog can continue the high-quality conversations we had on Hayek-L. Welcome everyone!
