Econ Journal Watch -- Scholarly Comments on Academic Economics is out with its first issue. EJW is described as "a triannual peer-reviewed journal for scholarly commentary on academic economics".
Of particular interest: "Agricultural Economists and the State" (pdf) by E.C. Pasour -- author of my very favorite application of Hayekian economics to regulatory theory, "Information: A Neglected Aspect Of The Theory Of Price Regulation".
"Agricultural Economists and the State" -- Abstract: "Many, if not most, agricultural policy economists today are fairly market oriented—at least in their view of farm commodity programs. Despite their incentives not to “rock the boat,” more market-oriented analysts often recommend liberalization of price supports and other “government stabilization programs.” Still, even free-market-oriented agricultural policy economists frequently fail to express judgment when analyzing government-enforced commodity cartels in agriculture. The mode of funding reinforces the incentive that many market-oriented agricultural policy economists have to withhold judgment by relying on “positive” analysis."
