THE U.N. FUNNELED $21.3 BILLION to Saddam Hussein as part of its "Oil-for-Food" program a Senate investigation has concluded. Saddam used portions of that money to bribe the French, the Germans, the Russians, and other U.N. Security Council members. Quotable:
the Iraqi government concluded deals to buy rotting foods and other damaged goods from companies that sold the goods for full price and kicked back a portion of the profits to the Iraqis.
